Vee · consumer cooking app

Vee

Vee is a cooking app for home cooks — a consumer product in one of the most crowded content categories there is, where every competitor is publishing the same recipe formats to the same feeds.

A cooking app for home cooks. The question: how do you grow its audience and content engine — without going generic?

We built a content engine around the app's actual point of view rather than around format trends: what Vee believes a home cook needs on a Tuesday night, not what performs generically in the category. That gave social a reason to exist beyond reach, and gave the team a repeatable way to produce without diluting.

Growth without dilution

The fastest way to grow a food account is to make what already works elsewhere. It is also the fastest way to become interchangeable — and an interchangeable app has no reason to be downloaded rather than the one above it in the list.

So the engine was built from the product's own opinion outward. Every pillar had to answer a question a home cook actually has, and every format had to be something the team could sustain weekly without a studio.

reach is easy. reach that means something is the work.
